Been an awful good girl…

So I get an early Christmas pressie from my clever mixologist husband – the ‘Santa Baby’ cocktail.

It’s a fabulously festively red colour. Sparkly. With a very seasonal spiciness to it from the bitters and the grated nutmeg garnish. Merry Christmas indeed.

Santa BabyIngredients:

100ml Williams Chase Sloe and Mulberry gin (or another sloe gin)

50 ml fino sherry

4 dashes of The Bitter Truth ‘Old Time Aromatic Bitters’

100ml sparkling wine

whole nutmeg


The gin, fino and bitters go into a cocktail tin that’s packed with ice. Give it all a good stir.

Strain into two iced martini glasses.

Top up each glass with 50ml per glass of sparkling wine.

Grate a light dusting of nutmeg on top of the cocktail for garnish.
